Soiree Time!!

This is an exciting post...I definitely couldn't wait to share my experience of my first soiree! Crowdtap picked me to host a sample share party for Hawaiian Tropic's new products. They sent me supplies and a guide to throw a sick party. I got really into the planning of it, picked some food out that was super tropical, cleaned my room, planned some activites, even played tropical music!!

Thankfully, Facebook was around to help me get my word out. I created an event as a pre-finals relaxation get-together. My friends really appreciated the thought! So I took a few days getting really excited and set up everything in my dorm room. Yes, it was cozy, but we still had fun and enjoyed each other's company.

The eco-friendly bags were a great idea from Hawaiian Tropic. It's such a statement to keep it green =) Plus my friends said they couldn't wait to use the bags to carry their stuff in...while using their free samples in the sun!

Eric was really excited. He was the only guy, so I give him credit for showing up with so much energy and excitement!!!

It was a horrible day outside, so unfortunately we couldn't venture outside to test out the new products. Oh, it was so sad. That didn't stop us from having a blast!!!

Some of the things we did were talk about the awesome tips Hawaiian Tropic shared with us, take the provided quiz (Theresa got the highest score, so I hooked her up with a "finals survival package" I put together), enjoy some delicious snacks, and watch some coverage about the Royal Wedding. We were obsessed!

This is everyone hard at work on their quiz...they all learned a thing or two about healthy sun techniques. A few of the tips were surprising! 

In the next upcoming days, the weather improved and my friends called to inform me how much they loved the shimmering lotion and after-sun lotion. They couldn't wait to go use their coupon I gave them to go buy the products =)

Playtex Sport Body Wipes

I was selected to sample Playtex Sport's new Sport Body Wipes by Crowdtap...I just couldn't wait to give them a test! They apparently are a "great way to remove dirt and sweat after a workout, practice, or anytime you want to freshen up." So what better way to test them out than to get a little sweaty!


They did take a little bit of time to arrive, which made me anxious as the anticipation was mounting! When I told my friends what they would be trying out, they heard Playtex and thought one thing... that they were testing tampons. I laughed as I explained that no, these are not tampons, but are a sport wipe.

My roommate suggested we should get a little exercise and go on a run before we used them, and we decided to test ourselves and go for a 7 mile run!


So off we went, luckily it was such a nice day!

I passed a really nice park with lots of activity and kids playing baseball games, it made for such a nice spring time atmosphere! It also distracted me from realizing how tired I was.

Phew! We finally all made it in, and were so proud of one another!! Along with building up some lactic acid in our muscles, we built up a huge sweat! Our friend was holding a barbeque and we had to get ready to make our appearance.

I handed these out to my friends and we noticed they had a light scent that was really fresh. The texture was like a cloth and very strong and durable. 
We used them on our face, arms, underarms, and stomach. They made our skin that was sticky and salty from the sweat smooth, clean, and tight. The rest of the barbeque participants looked on and wished they could participate! 

All clean! These wipes were such a great idea and everyone I asked said that they would definitely try them and use them not only after physical activity but on a daily basis.
